PODCAST EDITING
Helping You Sound Like the Expert You Are
PodcastP.S. editors have the technical tools and skills to enhance your recorded audio and help you sound like the expert you are!
CLEAN UP YOUR VOICE
When we speak we often use filler words such as um, like, ah, well, and you know. We also make noises that include strong breaths, tongue clicks, and lip smacks. All of these things should be removed from podcast audio to help you sound more like the expert you are. Once these edits are complete tracks can be de-essed, compressed, and equalized to maximize the clarity of your message.
BALANCE VOICES & LEVEL THE PODCAST
You want to ensure your audience has a pleasant listening experience. One way to achieve this is by making sure they don't have to adjust volume while listening to your show. You, your guests and co-host, commercials, and transitions need to have a uniform output level. We level your audio to produce a consistent volume and an overall output that meets broadcast loudness standards.
REMOVE NOISE
Many podcasters work from home and end up with noise on their vocal track. Barking dogs, ringing telephones, bellowing children, air conditioning system wind noise -- much of this can be removed by editing. We can also apply noise reduction tools to add clarity to your show.
REMOVE EXCESSIVE SILENCE
If...you...pause...to think...between sentences...or words...it creates silence that doesn't work well in broadcast audio. Removing excessive silence helps you sound more coherent. We can tighten your presentation by removing incidental words and phrases that don't contribute to the content.
ADD MUSIC, ADVERTISING, & UNIQUE AUDIO CONTENT
Many podcasts have a recurring musical introduction and ending and are sponsored by advertisers who have paid to be promoted on air. This content is usually contained in separate audio files. We will insert your unique audio content precisely within the podcast to create a smooth and natural flow.
Good editing will enhance the listenability of your podcast. We'd like to help. Contact us to schedule a time to talk about editing your podcast!
